This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the "Games of Chance Law of the Town of Marilla."

This chapter is enacted pursuant to the option granted to the municipality by virtue of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York.
The Town Board of the Town of Marilla hereby provides that it shall be lawful for any authorized organization, upon obtaining a license therefor as provided in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York, to conduct games of chance within the territorial limits of the Town of Marilla, subject to the provisions of this chapter.
The fee payable to the Town Clerk upon issuance of a license shall be in accordance with and as provided by law.
This chapter shall be submitted for approval of the electors at the next general election following the adoption of this proposition and shall take effect immediately following its approval by the affirmative vote of a majority of the qualified electors of the Town voting upon this proposition.[1]
