No person or persons, firm, association or corporation shall engage in the business of maintaining and operating for hire separate washing machines, drying machines or combination washing and drying machines for personal and individual use within the Village without a license.

The fee for any license required by the provisions of this chapter shall be at the levels fixed from time to time by resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Rockville Centre.
Applications for such licenses shall be made in accordance with the provisions stated in Chapter 222, Licenses, and in addition the following is required:
A. 
A detailed description of the place and a plan of the building wherein the business will be conducted.
B. 
The total number of washing machines proposed to be operated as of the date of the application.
Each owner, operator or management of a licensed business of maintaining and operating for hire separate washing machines for personal and individual use where made available to the public shall provide an attendant who is familiar with the operation of such washing machines and any other laundry machines installed therein, and who shall be in attendance at all times when such machines are made available for hire.
Any person, persons, firm, association or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be liable for and pay a penalty or fine of not less than $10 for each offense; addition thereto, each of such violations shall constitute and is hereby declared to be disorderly conduct, and any person violating the same shall be and hereby is declared a disorderly person.
