As used in this article, the following terms
shall have the meaning indicated unless a different meaning clearly
appears from the context:
HIGHWAY
The entire width between the boundary lines of every way
publicly maintained when any part thereof is open to the use of the
public for purposes of vehicular travel.
PLAY HIGHWAY
A highway which is used for play and recreational activities
as permitted during specific times and periods established in this
article or otherwise authorized by an appropriate designated Borough
official. Play highways should be clearly blocked and appropriate
notices provided for such use during those times and periods for which
the highway is in use as a play highway.

Any person who violates a provision of this
article shall, upon conviction, be subject to the appropriate penalties
set forth in the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code (75 Pa.C.S.A. § 101
et seq.) for each provision so violated.
