Proposition No. 3 read as follows: “Shall there be approved and adopted in the Town of Galway, New York, a local law entitled 'A Local Law #5 of 2004 Providing the Term of Office of the Town Clerk Shall be for a Term of Four Years,' which shall be effective for any such official elected after the resolution is submitted to the electors in the Town for approval. This increases the term from two years to four years as set forth therein as enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Galway on September 15, 2004.”[1]
