Cunningham Road from the railroad tracks to Morrill Street traverses
a residential neighborhood, and vehicular and pedestrian traffic on
said road is heavy. The number of residents along said stretch of
road, together with the traffic traveling such road, require a residential
speed limit to maintain the safety of persons in and about Cunningham
Road.
The section of Cunningham Road between the railroad tracks and
Morrill Street is declared to be in a residential district, and the
speed limit on that section of said road is declared to be 25 miles
per hour.
There shall be installed and maintained by the Charter Township
of Blackman appropriate speed limit signs along said section of Cunningham
Road.
Each road intersecting Cunningham Road between the railroad
tracks and Morrill Street shall have installed a stop sign.
This article is necessary to protect the health, safety and
welfare of the residents of the Charter Township of Blackman, and
in particular those persons living along said stretch of Cunningham
Road or traveling such stretch of Cunningham Road.
