Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:49-4, the Code of the City of North Wildwood, New Jersey - 1967, codifying the ordinances of the City of North Wildwood of a general and permanent nature, is hereby approved, adopted and enacted as the Code of the City of North Wildwood, New Jersey - 1967.
All supplements and amendments to the general and present ordinances as set forth in the aforesaid Code to the date of adoption of this ordinance are part of said Code and are duly approved, adopted and enacted.
The Code of the City of North Wildwood, New Jersey - 1967 shall be amended from time to time, and all such amendments shall become part of the Code and shall be enforceable as though made part of the original code in 1967.
The provisions of the Code shall be in full force and effect on and after the effective date of this ordinance. All ordinances, or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the provisions of this Code, are hereby repealed, except as follows:
A. 
The adoption of the Code shall not be construed to affect a right or liability accrued or incurred under any legislative provision prior to the effective date of such enactment or an action or proceeding for the enforcement of such right or liability. Such adoption shall not be construed to relieve any person from punishment for an act committed in violation of any such legislative provision nor to affect an indictment or prosecution therefor. For such purposes, any such legislative provision shall continue in full force notwithstanding its repeal for the purpose of revision and recodification.
B. 
The repeal provided above shall not affect:
(1) 
The grant or creation of a franchise, license right, easement or privilege.
(2) 
The purchase, sale, lease or transfer of property.
(3) 
The appropriation or expenditure of money or promise or guaranty of payment.
(4) 
The assumption of any contract or obligation.
(5) 
The issuance and delivery of any bonds, obligations or other instruments of indebtedness.
(6) 
The levy or imposition of taxes, assessments or charges.
(7) 
The establishment, naming, vacating or grade level of any street or public way.
(8) 
The dedication of property or plat approval.
(9) 
The annexation or detachment of territory.
The City Clerk, pursuant to law, shall cause to be published in the manner required, a copy of this Adopting Ordinance in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of North Wildwood. Sufficient copies of the Code shall be maintained in the office of the City Clerk for inspection by the public at all times during regular office hours. The enactment and publication of this Adopting Ordinance coupled with the availability of copies of the Code for inspection by the public shall be deemed, held and considered to be due and legal publication of all provisions of the Code for all purposes.
Any and all additions or amendments to said Code, when passed in such form as to indicate the intention of the City of North Wildwood to make the same a part thereof, and all general and permanent ordinances of the city heretofore adopted and subsequently included as part of the Code shall be deemed to be incorporated in said Code so that reference to the Code of the City of North Wildwood shall be understood and intended to include such additions and amendments.
A certified copy of said Code shall be kept on file in the office of the City Clerk. It shall be the duty of the City Clerk, or someone authorized by him, to insert in their designated places all amendments or ordinances which indicate the intention of the City Council to make the same a part of said Code when the same have been printed or reprinted in page form and to extract from said Code all provisions which may be from time to time repealed by the City Council. This copy of said Code shall be available for all persons desiring to examine the same and shall be considered the official Code of the City of North Wildwood.
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to change, or amend by additions or deletions, any part or portion of said Code or to insert or delete pages or portions thereof or to alter or tamper with said Code in any manner whatsoever which will cause the law of the City of North Wildwood to be misrepresented thereby.
Each section of the Code and every part of each section is an independent section or part of a section, and the holding of any section or a part thereof to be unconstitutional, void or ineffective for any cause does not affect the validity or constitutionality of such other section in part thereof.
This ordinance shall take effect immediately after final passage and publication as provided by law.

Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:49-4, the ordinances of the City of North Wildwood of a general and permanent nature adopted by the North Wildwood City Council and approved by the Mayor, which were codified on August 4, 1981, and have been revised and updated from time to time, are hereby revised once again and renumbered to consist of Chapters 1 through 430, together with an Appendix, which revision is hereby approved, adopted and enacted as "The Code of the City of North Wildwood".
The effect of this revision is to add into the Code various ordinances which had not yet been inserted and to change the format and renumber the chapters, after which the Code, as revised by this ordinance, shall constitute the Code of the City of North Wildwood.
A copy of the complete Code, as revised, has been filed in the office of the City Clerk for the use and examination of the public and shall remain in the Clerk's Office for that purpose until this ordinance is finally adopted and takes effect.
If any portion of this ordinance or the Code as revised, is determined to be invalid by a court of law, that determination shall have no effect upon the remainder of this ordinance or revised Code which shall remain valid and enforceable.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with this Ordinance or the Code, as revised, to the extent of such inconsistencies only be and the same are hereby repealed.
This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon final passage and publication as provided by law.
