No person shall have, maintain or operate a boat or personal watercraft upon the lake unless a current permit has been issued for such boat or personal watercraft under the provisions of this article.

Boats or personal watercraft addressed in this article shall be registered in accord with state law.

A. 
Any boat deemed unseaworthy by the lake ranger shall not be permitted.
B. 
Any boat less than 10 feet in length (center-line measurement) shall not be permitted; provided that boats not less than seven feet up to 10 feet (center-line measurement) may be permitted if:
(1) 
They do not contain more than one person; or
(2) 
They are rated and certified by the United States Coast Guard, have the Coast Guard capacity information plate affixed to the boat and do not contain more persons or weight than is allowed according to that plate; and
(3) 
They are not powered by greater than a five-horsepower engine.
No houseboat shall be allowed under this article.

Every person operating a boat or personal watercraft on the lake shall carry the state issued permit for such boat or personal watercraft on his person and he shall produce such permit upon demand of any person authorized to require the same.
