The following subordinate functional areas of
the Department of Public Works shall hereafter be known by the following
names:
A. Office of Engineering shall be the Bureau of Engineering.
B. Office of Parks and Public Buildings shall be the
Bureau of Parks and Public Property.
C. Office of Sewers shall be the Bureau of Wastewater
Operations.
D. Office of Streets shall be the Bureau of Streets.
E. Office of Water shall be the Bureau of Water.
F. In addition, the Mayor may establish from time to
time such other bureaus to serve as functional areas of the Department
of Public Works, including but not limited to operations, utilities,
facilities, and central market and public buildings.
The office of the Director of the Department
of Public Works or its subordinate functional areas shall, in addition
to all other appropriate areas of responsibility, interact, where
applicable, with the various authorities, boards and commissions of
the City appropriate to the Department of Public Works.
The sum of the lawful fidelity bond which the
City Engineer is required to give to the City under the provisions
of the Third Class City Code is fixed at $5,000.
