The Inspector of Plumbing shall be charged with the enforcement of the provisions of this Code and other ordinances, rules and regulations relating to connections with the waterworks and public sewer systems, and of all other rules and regulations relating to the same, that may be adopted by the City Council in the interests of the public health. He or she shall perform all other duties of like kind that may from time to time hereafter be prescribed by the laws of the state and by the ordinances of the City.
The Inspector of Plumbing shall give his or her whole time to the duties of the office and shall not be otherwise engaged in the plumbing business.
The Inspector of Plumbing shall keep suitable records of the work done in the department and shall make a report to the City Council annually at the first meeting in September for the preceding fiscal year, of all matters connected with the office and relating to the public health which he or she shall deem of importance to the people of the City.
