The salary of the Mayor shall be at the annual rate of $130,000. Notwithstanding any ordinances or provisions to the contrary, the Mayor's salary shall increase in January of each year by 2%, beginning in 2026.

Editor’s Note: Pursuant to Ch. No. 3106, approved 6-23-2016, the salary of the Mayor, the members of the City Council, and the members of the School Committee shall be increased by 50% of the average of the Consumer Price Index increase, as published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, every two years beginning in January 2005.
