City of Royal Oak, MI Chapter 8 Appearance Tickets

§ 8-1 Short title.

This chapter shall be known, and may be cited, as the "Appearance Ticket Ordinance."

§ 8-2 Statement of purpose.

This is a chapter to authorize the issuance and service of appearance tickets by City of Royal Oak public servants other than police officers for violations of Royal Oak ordinances.

§ 8-3 Public servants authorized to issue appearance tickets.

The following City of Royal Oak public servants have the authority to issue and serve upon a person an appearance ticket if he or she has a reasonable cause to believe that the person has committed a violation of an ordinance of the City of Royal Oak:

A. Chief Inspector.

B. Assistant Chief Inspector.

C. Building Inspector.

D. Plumbing Inspector.

E. Electrical Inspector.

F. Mechanical Inspector.

G. Housing Inspector.

H. Code Enforcement Aide.

I. Fire Marshal.

J. Fire Inspector.

K. Fire Chief.
