No person, persons, owner or occupant of any building shall place or deposit or cause to be placed or deposited opposite any store or building any goods, wares or merchandise.

It shall be unlawful to have, keep or maintain stands, barrels, boxes or merchandise of any kind upon the sidewalks or any portion or part of the sidewalks of said Town for the purpose of displaying merchandise or other wares. It shall not be lawful for any person or persons to place, deposit or cause to be placed or deposited any goods, wares or merchandise of any kind or description upon the outer side of any sidewalk adjacent to the highway of any street, avenue or public place in the Town of Harrison.
No person or persons shall be allowed or permitted to erect or maintain any gas station upon or adjacent to the sidewalk or any public place in the Town of Harrison without first obtaining a permit from the Town Clerk and paying for said permit the sum of $5 per year, which permit may be revoked at any time without cause or reason by the Town Board, but no such permit shall be granted or allowed for any gas station upon any through highway or avenue upon which through traffic is conducted and maintained, and all such gasoline stations shall be back from the sidewalk so that the vehicle desiring to be supplied with gas or oil can drive in and off the street to be so filled and loaded with gasoline.
No person or persons shall be allowed or permitted, and it shall be unlawful, to so maintain a gasoline station as to block or in any way interfere with traffic or pedestrians on any of the sidewalks of the Town.
No stands where goods, wares and merchandise, confectionery and soft drinks may be vended or offered or exposed for sale shall be maintained upon any public street, avenue or public place in the Town of Harrison unless the stand is a sightly structure and such as will not interfere with any residential section of the Town or interfere with the business maintained and conducted by the merchants in the business structures and buildings in the Town, and no such stands shall be permitted or allowed without a permit being obtained from the Clerk of the Town of Harrison permitting the same, and no such permit shall be granted permitting such stand or structure which violates any building or zoning ordinances[1] of the Town now or hereafter enforced, and no such permit shall be granted unless the structure is so located that automobiles stopping in order to trade or do business at such stand do not in any wise block or interfere with traffic upon said street, avenue or public place in the Town.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction, be punishable by a fine not to exceed $250 or by imprisonment for a term not to exceed 15 days, or both.
