This article may be referred to as the "Emergency Water Ordinance."

The Town Supervisor, in the capacity of Water Commissioner, may declare an emergency upon the advice of a Water Operator.
During the period of a declared emergency, the following uses of water from the mains of the cited water district shall be considered prohibited:
A. 
The washing of vehicles.
B. 
The cleaning or washing of the outside of buildings or other structures.
C. 
The operation of swimming pools, both portable and stationary.
D. 
The watering of lawns.
E. 
The operation of fountains or ornamental ponds with the exception of recirculating systems.
F. 
The flooding of outdoor skating rinks.
Any person committing an offense against any provision of this article shall be guilty of a violation punishable by a fine not exceeding $500 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. The continuation of an offense against the provisions of this article shall constitute, for each day the offense is continued, a separate and distinct offense hereunder.
