Editor's Note: This local law also superseded former

This local law hereby creates the office of single appointed
assessor of the Town of Neversink.
There shall be but one assessor of the Town of Neversink, who
shall be appointed by the Town Board of the Town of Neversink in accordance
with the provisions of Real Property Tax Law § 310, who
shall serve from and after January 1, 2008.
The term of office of the single appointed assessor shall be
six years; except that the first term of the single appointed assessor
appointed on January 1, 2008 shall expire September 30, 2013.
The terms of office of all elected assessors presently in office
shall terminate on December 31, 2007.
