The following provisions are adopted in accordance with RSA 215-A and any other applicable chapter amendments thereto.

As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
SNOW-TRAVELING VEHICLE
Any vehicle propelled by mechanic power that is designed to travel over ice or snow supported in part by skis, belts or cleats, low-pressure tires or by any other means.
It shall be unlawful for the owner of any snow-traveling vehicle or any person having the custody or control of any snow-traveling vehicle to operate or permit said vehicle to be operated in the following manner:
A. 
In any city cemetery or roads maintained in such cemetery.
B. 
Within the compact part of the city between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., except when going directly to, or coming directly from, trails or when loading or unloading snow-traveling vehicles.
C. 
Within any other part of the city closer than 500 feet to any dwelling between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., except by permission, or when going directly to, or coming directly from, trails or when loading or unloading snow-traveling vehicles.
D. 
On the land of another person after having been requested to leave by said landowner or his/her authorized agent.
E. 
Upon the main traveled portion of the plowed snow banks, or any public way or sidewalk, except as permitted by RSA 215-A:6 and 7.[1]

F. 
To cross a public way without stopping before crossing.
G. 
Without having said snow-traveling vehicle properly equipped with a stock muffler.
Proof of ownership or registration of such snow-traveling vehicle shall be prima facie evidence of the person responsible for such violation.
Any snow-traveling vehicle found unattended, in violation of this chapter, may be ordered towed away by the Police Department and stored at the expense of the owner or custodian of the snow-traveling vehicle after a reasonable attempt has been made to contact the owner.
Nothing contained in this chapter shall prevent the use of snow-traveling vehicles by any city agency in the course of performing work in any cemetery, on any road in any cemetery or on any cemetery or recreation land.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be punished as provided in Chapter 1, General Provisions.
