No vehicle shall be parked or operated in the areas described below except in accordance with the regulations set forth below:
A. 
The stopping, standing or parking of any vehicle at any time in an area designated "fire lane" at the Mohawk Mall shopping center is hereby prohibited. Said fire lanes are so designated by the Town Board of the Town of Niskayuna as those private roadways immediately adjacent to the east, west and south sides of the main Mohawk Mall building and shall be clearly marked and/or posted as fire lanes.
B. 
The stopping, standing or parking of any vehicle at any time in an area designated "fire lane" at the Mohawk Mall shopping center is hereby prohibited. Said fire lanes are so designated by the Town Board of the Town of Niskayuna as those paved roadway areas north and south of the center of the main Mohawk Mall building and shall be clearly marked and/or posted as fire lanes.

C. 
The stopping, standing or parking of any vehicle at any time in an area designated "fire lane" at the Bellevue Hospital is hereby prohibited. The area set aside for fire lanes at said Bellevue Hospital is hereby designated by the Town Board of the Town of Niskayuna to be two fire lanes as shown on the plan attached hereto.[2] Said fire lanes shall be clearly marked and/or posted as fire lanes.

A. 
Definitions. As used in this section, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
ACCESSIBLE ROUTE
A clearly marked path a minimum of 36 inches in width connecting a handicap parking space to an accessible entrance.
HANDICAP PARKING SPACE
A parking space for persons with disabilities clearly marked on pavement and identified with a permanent sign showing the international symbol of accessibility which complies with ANSI A117.1. Dimensions for handicap parking spaces shall be a minimum of 96 inches in width and have an adjacent access aisle a minimum of 60 inches in width. Van-accessible parking spaces shall have an access aisle a minimum of 96 inches in width.
B. 
Unauthorized parking prohibited. The parking or standing of a motor vehicle clearly marked for use by the handicapped an any lands and premises in the Town of Niskayuna is prohibited except by a person to whom there has been issued and who holds a valid special parking permit issued pursuant to the State of New York Vehicle and Traffic Law or issued pursuant to the Code of the Town of Niskayuna by the Niskayuna Town Clerk, who is the designated issuing agent for the Town of Niskayuna. The parking or standing of a motor vehicle in any adjoining handicapped access aisle or access route to a handicapped parking space on any lands in the Town of Niskayuna is prohibited by all vehicles, including those vehicles used by a handicapped person to whom a valid special parking permit has been issued by the Niskayuna Town Clerk.
C. 
Penalties for offenses. Any person who violates the provisions of § 203-26.1B above shall be subject to a fine of not less than $50 nor more than $125 for the first offense and not less than $75 nor more than $250 for the second offense occurring within a period of two years within the Town of Niskayuna.
