This article shall be known and designated as
the "Electrical Code of the Borough of Mount Oliver."
The Council of the Borough of Mount Oliver hereby
adopts the National Electrical Code which was adopted by the National
Fire Protection Association, Inc. (1990 Edition), and any amendments
thereto or future editions thereof, as fully and completely as though
said electrical code were set forth herein at length, except and unless
otherwise provided to the contrary in the statutes of the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania, the rules and regulations of the County of Allegheny
and any other specific provisions contained in this chapter. Copies
of the Electrical Code may be examined during regular business hours
at the office of the Borough Secretary of the Borough of Mount Oliver
at 150 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15210.

Any person, firm or corporation who or which
shall violate any provisions of the National Electrical Code (1990
Edition, as may be amended from time to time) or shall fail to comply
with any of the requirements thereof shall, upon conviction, be punishable
by a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000.), plus costs
of prosecution, for each offense and, in default of payment of such
fine and costs, to imprisonment in the county jail for a term not
exceeding thirty (30) days.
