All lots and parts of lots in the Town of Ledgeview shall be numbered
in accordance with a map designated "Street Numbering Map" now on file with
the Building Inspector and at the town office. All lots and parts of lots
hereafter platted shall be numbered to conform as nearly as possible to the
general scheme of numbering as outlined on such map.

Each owner or occupant shall conform with the following regulations:
A. All houses and buildings shall have numerals not in script
and of contrasting colors to the structure.
B. All numbers shall be in a conspicuous place on the front
of the building within 10 feet parallel to the front door and not more than
seven feet in height from grade or approved by the Zoning Administrator.
C. All numbers shall be made so that they are easily seen
from the road.
D. All numbers shall be at least 2 1/2 inches tall on the
mailbox or post and at least six inches tall on the building, post or sign.
E. Any home or building with a setback beyond 40 feet shall
also have its numbers on its mailbox. All mailboxes or support structures
for mailboxes shall have numbers on them.
F. The owner or occupant shall at all times keep the numbers
on the building and in readable condition.
G. All monument and ground signs shall have the number address on
them.

A. Requirements.
(1) All numbers shall be on the foundation, house wrap, contractor’s
sign or sheeting during construction. All numbers shall be placed on the
structure immediately after obtaining the building permit.
(2) Numbers may be stenciled, spray painted or glued on with contrasting
colors to allow for visibility from the street, and must be visible at all
times during construction or until the permanent address is installed on the
structure.
(3) Address numbers shall be listed on construction signs on site.
B. The above-listed requirements are mandatory in all zoning districts.
If the owner or occupant of any building required by this chapter to be numbered neglects for a period of 20 days to duly attach and maintain the proper numbers on such building and/or mailbox, the Town of Ledgeview will send him a notice requiring such owner or occupant to properly number the same; and if he neglects to do so within 20 days after the service of such notice, he will be considered to be in violation of this chapter and be penalized. The penalty shall be as determined by the Town Board in Chapter
1, General Provisions, Article
II, Fees and Penalties. Each day is considered a separate violation.
