It is the intent of the Town Board to establish
an Official Map for the purpose of serving and promoting the public
health, safety, convenience, economy, orderliness, and general welfare
of the community; to further the orderly layout and use of land; to
stabilize the location of real property boundary lines; to ensure
proper legal descriptions and proper monumenting of land; to facilitate
adequate provision for transportation, parks, playgrounds, and stormwater
drainage; and to facilitate the further subdivision of large tracts
into smaller parcels of land.
This chapter is enacted under the authority
granted by W.S.A. § 62.23(6).
There is hereby established, as the Official
Map of the Town of Ledgeview, the map which accompanies and is made
a part of this chapter bearing the date of March 20, 2007. This map is hereby designated as the "Official Map of
the Town of Ledgeview," and all notations, references, and other information
shown thereon shall be as much a part of this chapter as though the
matters and information thereon were fully described herein. The Official
Map shall show the location and extent of all platted and existing
streets, highways, drainageways, parkways, parks and playgrounds,
airports and airport affected areas, and historic districts within
the corporate limits of the Town of Ledgeview as theretofore laid
out, adopted and established by law, except the drainageways outside
the Town limits shall not be included on the Official Map.
No public sewer or other municipal street utility
or improvement shall be constructed in any street, highway, or parkway
within the jurisdictional area of this chapter until such street,
highway, or parkway is duly placed on the Official Map.

The Plan Commission shall have the power to
review any administrative decision of the Town Zoning Administrator
to deny a permit for the erection of a structure under this chapter
and to grant relief from the requirements of this chapter under the
provisions of W.S.A. § 62.23(6)(e), (f), and (g).
There shall be a certified copy of the Official Map described in §
70-3. The certified copy shall be kept in the office of the Town Clerk, and shall be available for inspection by any interested person during regular office hours. The certified copy shall bear on its face a certification that it is a true copy of the Official Map described in and accompanying this chapter and shall show the date of adoption of this chapter and shall be signed by the Town Chair and countersigned by the Town Clerk. Thereafter, no change or addition to such Official Map shall become effective until it shall have been indicated by the appropriate convention on the aforesaid certified copy of the Official Map and a certificate placed thereon or attached thereto bearing the number and date of adoption of the amending ordinance. The certificate shall be signed by the Town Chair and countersigned by the Town Clerk.
Upon adoption of the Official Map or any amendment
thereto, the Town Clerk shall immediately record a true copy of the
Official Map, as adopted or amended, with the Register of Deeds of
the County of Brown, Wisconsin.

The Town Zoning Administrator shall enforce
the provisions of this chapter.
If any section or part of this chapter is adjudged
unconstitutional or invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction,
the remainder of this chapter shall not be affected thereby. All other
ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Town inconsistent with this
chapter, to the extent of the inconsistency only, are hereby repealed.
This chapter shall be effective after adoption
by the Town Board and publication as provided by law.

A. Authority. Pursuant to §§ 61.35 and 62.23(6)(b), Wis. Stats., and §
70-3 of the Ledgeview Municipal Code, by designating land for expanded and future highways, parkways, waterways, and other public facilities, the Town establishes an Official Map of the Town, labeled as the "Town of Ledgeview Official Map."
B. Purpose. The Official Map provides the Town's existing and proposed
street network and existing parks and service areas and divides the
Town into districts of such number, shape, and area as are deemed
best suited to regulate and restrict the erection, construction, reconstruction,
alteration or use of buildings, structures or land.
C. Incorporation of amendments into 2024 Map. The Town Board of the
Town of Ledgeview, Brown County, Wisconsin, has approved a number
of changes in 2023 to said Official Map since its last adoption.
D. Copy of Map on file. The Town Clerk shall keep the Official Map at
the Municipal Building as an official record of the Town.
E. When effective. This section shall take effect upon passage and publication.
