No person shall operate a motor vehicle or motor-propelled
vehicle upon any beach from Memorial Day to Labor Day or on dunes
at any time; provided, however, that this Article shall not apply
to police, emergency or town-approved conservation or sanitation vehicles.

A. Violators
shall be prosecuted by the Chief of Police of the Town of Charlestown
or his/her designee by issuance of a summons in the Municipal Court.
B. Any person
who shall violate any provision of this Article shall, upon conviction
thereof, be punished, for each violation, by a fine of not more than
five hundred dollars ($500.) or by imprisonment for not more than
thirty (30) days. The continuation of a violation of any provision
of this Article shall constitute, for each day the violation is continued,
a separate and distinct violation hereunder.
