There is hereby created a Cultural Arts Committee of the Township of North Brunswick consisting of 11 members whose terms of office shall be for one year each and shall run concurrently. The members of the Committee shall be appointed by the Mayor and Council. Vacancies upon the Committee shall be filled in the same manner as original appointments and any such appointment shall be for the remainder of the unexpired term. All terms shall commence as of September 1, 1973.
The Cultural Arts Committee shall elect one of its members upon organizing each year as Chairman of the Committee, and it may also select such other officers as it deems necessary.
The duties of the Committee shall consist of engaging and encouraging cultural and artistic exhibitions, events and all related activities.
The Cultural Arts Committee shall report annually to the Mayor and Council as to its activities. The Cultural Arts Committee shall also furnish its opinions and advice on any particular subjects at the request of the Mayor and Council.
