[HISTORY: Adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasantville 6-7-1982 by Ord. No. 11-1982 as Art. III of Ch. 155 of the 1982 Code. Amendments noted where applicable.]
No person shall discharge any gun, pistol, firearm or other weapon using cartridges or gunpowder for ammunition within the limits of the city except for the protection of life, limb or property. This section shall not be applicable to the use and discharge of any firearm or weapon by any person, officer or official authorized pursuant to the laws of this state or of the United States or pursuant to other ordinances of the city.
Any person who violates any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not less than $100 nor more than $1,000, imprisonment for a term not exceeding 90 days and/or a period of community service not exceeding 90 days.
