Where a public sanitary sewer system is not available under the provisions of §
106-7 hereof, the building sewer shall be connected to a private sewage disposal system complying with the provisions of Article II-A of the Monroe County Sanitary Code.
The owner shall operate and maintain the private sewage disposal facilities
in a sanitary manner at all times, at no expense to the Town.
When a public sanitary sewer system becomes available to a property served by a private sewage disposal system as provided in §
106-7 hereof, a connection shall be made to the public sewer in compliance with this chapter within 90 days when the private sewage disposal system has failed and requires replacement construction, and any septic tanks and similar private sewage disposal facilities shall be cleaned of sludge, filled with clean gravel or dirt and be abandoned.
No statement contained in this article shall be construed to interfere
with any additional requirements that may be imposed by any Health Officer
having jurisdiction thereof.
