It is the purpose and intent of the Schenectady
City History Center to encourage donations of money and services to
the City of Schenectady for the purpose of preserving, protecting
and displaying the archives of the City of Schenectady.
The following classes of donors to the Schenectady
City History Center are hereby established for annual donations of
money, equipment or services to the City of Schenectady for the above
purposes:
The Archivist of the City of Schenectady shall
establish, publish and post such rules, terms, regulations and benefits
as may be necessary to effectuate the above purposes, subject to the
approval of the Mayor, and shall file a copy of the same with the
Clerk of the City of Schenectady.
Any rights and privileges thereby bestowed shall
be nominal in relation to any donation thereby made and shall not
confer upon any person any ownership in or to the archives or property
of the City of Schenectady.
The Director of Finance is hereby authorized
and directed to maintain a separate fund accounting of such donations
for the purpose of identifying the source and amount of such donations
on an annual basis.
