A Conservation Commission is hereby established according to RSA Chapter 36-A.

The Conservation Commission shall have the power, on vote of its membership in accordance with its rules, to accept on behalf of the City conservation easements over land within the City limits. All other acquisitions shall be authorized only by resolution duly passed by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen.

Each regular or alternate member of the Conservation Commission shall receive compensation for each regular or special meeting at which they are in attendance, payable quarterly as provided in the annual City budget. Such compensation shall not be paid for site visitation.
