Each employee, as defined in Article II, in the employ of the Town on the effective date shall become a member of the plan on such date or any anniversary date.

Each employee entering the employ of the Town subsequent to the effective date shall become a member on the anniversary date following his completion of one year of continuous service, provided that he has reached his 25th birthday and was hired on or before his 60th birthday.
