The Town of North Branford hereby adopts the provisions of Connecticut General Statutes Section 9-204b, as amended, which will permit the electors of the Town of North Branford to vote for three (3) candidates for the Board of Education at each biennial election.
Under the provisions of said Public Act, each political party shall have the right to nominate three (3) persons, one (1) for each vacancy on the Board of Education at each biennial election.
Under the provisions of said Public Act, mandatory minority representation is retained, which representation limits one (1) political party to a maximum of four (4) persons in a Board with total membership of six (6) persons.
