The purpose of this article is to specify construction and protection
features for nonresidential storage facilities to minimize danger to life
from fire, smoke or fumes, and to protect property.

Buildings or structures occupied or used for storage shall meet the
minimum construction requirements of the Connecticut Basic Building Code for
medium or high hazard occupancy classification.
All plans submitted in support of an application for a building permit
and/or approval by the Town Planning and Zoning Commission to construct all
buildings used for storage, except residential buildings, shall be submitted
to the Fire Marshal. When plans are submitted, they shall be reviewed to determine
the level of required fire protection consistent with existing state and local
regulations.

No department, agency or Commission of the Town of Rocky Hill shall
consider any application before it to be complete and ready for decision unless
it contains a declaration that the applicant or his agent has filed the appropriate
documents with all applicable local departments, agencies and Commissions.
The Fire Marshal of the Town of Rocky Hill, or any official in the Fire
Division duly appointed by him, shall administer the provisions of this article.
