Alderman of the Town of Fenwick Island shall not have the power or authority
to incarcerate for the violation of an ordinance of this town or any ordinance
effective hereafter unless such ordinance passed hereafter grants specific
power or authority to the Alderman to incarcerate.

A. The Aldermen of the town shall have jurisdiction of all
violations of ordinances of the town and shall have the power and authority
to fine offenders and compel the attendance of those accused of any violation
of town ordinances by service of process either within or without the limits
of the town and compel the attendance of witnesses.
B. The Aldermen may hold in contempt of court
any person who by disorderly conduct interrupts any judicial proceeding or
who refuses or fails to carry out a judgment, order or decree rendered by
the court and may punish the contempt by a fine of not more than one hundred
dollars ($100.) or by imprisonment for not more than thirty (30) days, or
both.
