The word "page," where used as a measure of
computation, means a page of the record not less than 50 lines, eight
words to the line, except in reference to accounts, when a page of
the record shall be used for each page of the account. Fractional
parts of a page shall be considered a page when the recording does
not make full pages.
The Register in Chancery shall be entitled to charge the fees set forth in § 62-2 of this Article upon principal set forth in an account by a guardian only at the time when the initial account therefor is filed and upon additions to principal only at the time of filing the account in which such additions to principal appear for the first time.
Before any action or proceeding is instituted
in the Court of Chancery, the Register in Chancery shall demand and
receive the sum of $125 as a deposit of guaranty for the payment of
the fees and costs in his office. He shall apply such deposit in payment
of the fees and costs in his office from time to time as they become
due and shall return to the person depositing the same any balance
remaining after such action or proceeding is completed. If the sum
deposited is reduced by the payment of the fees and costs to an amount
which is, in the judgment of the Register in Chancery, insufficient
to defray the fees and costs for additional service, the Register
in Chancery shall, before any additional service or services are performed
by him, demand and receive all overexpended sums and such additional
deposit as, in his judgment, shall be sufficient.
