The prohibition against the landing of helicopters
within the Town as provided in this chapter is for the purpose of
ensuring and maintaining the health, safety and general welfare of
the residents of the Town.
It is unlawful for any person, either directly or indirectly, to land a helicopter within the corporate limits of the Town, except for a medical emergency as provided in this chapter. Every person who lands a helicopter within the corporate limits of the Town, or aids, abets or directs another person to do so, except for a medical emergency as provided in §
254-3, violates this chapter and is guilty of a misdemeanor.
A person who lands a helicopter within the corporate limits of the Town in response to a medical emergency shall be exempt from the prohibition from landing established by §
254-2, and the person shall not be considered to violate this chapter.
This chapter shall be enforceable, in addition
to other remedies provided by law, by injunction, mandamus or abatement.

With the exception of §
254-3, law enforcement and rescue operations, any person who violates any provisions of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be subject to the general penalty provisions of Chapter
1, Article
IV, General Penalty.
