The Fire Marshal of the Town of East Hampton is hereby directed and
authorized to establish fire zone areas within or near any public or private
street, highway or passway, when in his judgment, necessary for the safety

Wherever the Fire Marshal establishes a fire zone, with the approval
of the Board of Fire Commissioners, he shall file a copy of his orders with
the Town Clerk's office. Such restricted areas shall be clearly marked,

ZONE." The enforcement of this article shall be the responsibility of the
Chief of Police and whomsoever he may delegate.
Violators of this article shall be fined $5, payable to the East Hampton
Police Department within 14 days. Violators who fail to pay within this period
shall be fined an additional penalty of $5 for every fourteen-day period thereafter
that the fine remains unpaid. Towing and storage costs shall conform to rates
as established by state regulations and shall be paid by the owner of the
towed vehicle.
