Parks and recreation areas — See Ch. 161.
This chapter shall be known and cited as "Board of Recreation Commissioners."
The purpose of this chapter is to cause the borough to comply with P.L. 1949, c. 138, N.J.S.A. 40:12-1 et seq., as amended.
The Mayor shall appoint seven persons who are residents and citizens of the Borough of Alpine as the members of the Board of Recreation Commissioners. The members first appointed shall be appointed as follows: one member for one year, one member for two years, one member for three years, two members for four years and two members for five years. Upon the expiration of the first term, appointments thereafter shall be for a term of five years. Members shall serve until their respective successors are appointed and shall qualify. Members shall receive no compensation for their services. Vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired term only.
The Board of Recreation Commissioners shall comply with all the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40:12-1 et seq., as amended, which is incorporated herein in its entirety by reference.
