GENERAL REFERENCES
General penalty — See Ch. 1, Art. II.
No person shall move any building or structure across, along or through any street or public place without obtaining a permit therefor from the Council. The fee for the permit shall be $5 and in addition thereto a supplemental fee of $10 per day for each day that such building or structure may remain on such public street or place.
In lieu of fees, the Mayor and Council may require a bond to be filed in the sum of $5,000 conditioned for the proper removal of any building, the restoration of any injury that may occur to streets or sidewalks, trees, or for the payment of any damages whatsoever that may accrue by reason of the removal of such building.
The permit may contain conditions relating to the manner of removal and the length of time that any street or public place may be obstructed, either in whole or in part, and any other regulations for the protection of the street or public place and the public safety or convenience.
