Village of Baxter Estates, NY Chapter 121 Housing Conversions

§ 121-1 Findings.

A. Section 352-eee of the General Business Law of the State of New York provides additional procedures for conversion of rental housing to condominium or cooperative ownership wherever the local municipality by resolution provides that its provisions shall apply within its jurisdiction.

B. After reviewing the law and considering the input from the public at a public meeting, this Board is of the opinion that § 352-eee of the General Business Law will provide needed protection to tenants and that the provisions of said law should be applicable in the Incorporated Village of Baxter Estates.

§ 121-2 Applicability of state law.

The provisions of § 352-eee of the General Business Law of the State of New York shall be applicable within the Incorporated Village of Baxter Estates.
