There is established a Commission for the preservation,
renovation and maintenance of Short Beach Park which shall be known
as the "Short Beach Park Commission."

The Commission shall consist of seven members appointed by the
Mayor, subject to confirmation by the Town Council as provided by
the Charter, as follows:
A. The
Council member in whose district Short Beach Park is located and one
member of the Town Council registered with the major political party
that is not the political party with whom the other Council member
is registered, whose terms shall run concurrently with the Town Council's
term.
B. Two
members, who shall be appointed for initial terms of four years, and
thereafter members shall be appointed for successive three-year terms.
At least one member shall be a resident of the district in which Short
Beach Park is located.
C. Three
members, who shall be appointed for initial terms of three years,
and thereafter members shall be appointed for successive three-year
terms. At least one member shall be a resident of the district in
which Short Beach Park is located.
No work or improvements may be made or performed
on any Town-owned structures, buildings or land located within Short
Beach Park without the recommendation of the Short Beach Park Commission,
the appropriate Council committees and the approval of the Town Council.
