The Township Council of the Township of Medford, being the governing body of said municipality, shall constitute the authority for the administration of the issuance of licenses hereunder.
It shall be unlawful to possess, sell, distribute or transport alcoholic beverages within the Township of Medford otherwise than as provided in this article and/or Title 33 of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey of 1937, entitled "Intoxicating Liquors," and the various amendments thereof and supplements thereto.

In the event the Township Council shall decide, in its discretion, to award an available license, it shall do so in accordance with the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act, the rules and the regulations promulgated thereunder, in the method set forth in the resolution authorizing such sale. If the Township Council elects to issue such license after a public sale, it may set requirements for prequalifications, special conditions and set a minimum bid as permitted by the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act, the rules and the regulations promulgated thereunder and as shall be set forth in the authorizing resolution. No license shall be issued except upon written application therefor, signed by the applicant, setting forth the information as required by statute, together with any and all other information which may be deemed necessary by the Township Council in accordance with said act and deemed necessary for a proper consideration of said application. Such application is to be made in the form as supplied by the Alcoholic Beverage Commission, and same is to be verified by the oath or affirmation of the applicant and advertised according to law.

The fees to be charged for Class C plenary retail consumption license, for a plenary retail distribution license and for a Class C club license shall be as set out in Chapter 71, Fees and Licenses.
All such fees shall be paid in full prior to the granting of such license and shall be based upon a full term of 12 calendar months and licenses shall expire at 12:00 midnight June 30 next then succeeding.

A. 
Not more than seven plenary retail consumption licenses shall be outstanding in the Township of Medford at the same time.

B. 
Not more than four Class C club licenses shall be outstanding in the Township of Medford at the same time.

Not more than three plenary retail distribution licenses shall be outstanding in the Township of Medford at the same time.

D. 
No other kind of alcoholic beverage license shall be issued in the Township of Medford, except for Class A licenses issued for one or more of the following: limited brewery license, N.J.S.A. 33:1-10(lb); restricted brewery license, N.J.S.A. 33:1-10(lc), for operation of a brewpub; plenary winery license, N.J.S.A. 33:1-10(2a); farm winery license, N.J.S.A. 33:1-10(2b); and instructional wine making, facility, N.J.S.A. 33:1-10(2d).

A. 
All Class C plenary-retail-consumption- and club-licensed premises shall be closed every Sunday, except between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 2:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 midnight. Such licensed premises shall also be closed every weekday between the hours of 2:01 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.
B. 
Only when Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve fall on a Sunday, all Class C plenary-retail-consumption- and Class D plenary-retail-distribution-licensed premises may be open for business in those instances between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 midnight.

Such license may be revoked by the governing body of the Township of Medford following a hearing thereon after five days' notice, in writing, to the licensee, served in accordance with said act.
