§ 104-1 Parking or standing restricted.

It shall hereinafter be declared unlawful for any person to park or allow to stand any motor vehicle, bus, truck, trailer or any other obstruction in any of the following locations:

§ 104-1.1 Parking restricted in Golden Meadows.

It shall hereinafter be declared unlawful for any person to park any motor vehicle, bus, truck, trailer or any other obstruction on any of the following streets on school days between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.:

Elizabeth Court

Gloria Drive

Golden Way

Haines Court

Jonathan Drive

Long Meadow Road

Louise Place

West Long Meadow Drive

§ 104-2 Removal and impoundment.

Any person allowing any said motor vehicle, bus, truck, trailer or any other obstruction to be parked or standing for a period of 24 hours or more shall be subject to have said motor vehicle, bus, truck, trailer or any other obstruction removed and impounded by the Highway Department of the Town of Hyde Park, and same shall not be released to said person until payment by him of the cost, penalty and expense of said removal and impounding, not to exceed the sum of $100, and storage, not to exceed $10 per day, and until said person has signed a release releasing said Town, its agents and employees of any and all liability for the removal, impounding and damage to said motor vehicle, bus, truck, trailer or any other obstruction.

§ 104-3 Penalties for offenses.

Any person parking or allowing to stand any motor vehicle, bus, truck, trailer or any other obstruction, occupied or unoccupied, in violation of § 104-1 hereof shall be guilty of the violation of this article and shall be subject to a fine of $50 for the violation thereof.

§ 104-4 Administration and enforcement.

The enforcement of said article shall be administered by the special police of the Town of Hyde Park, and the same are hereby authorized to issue appropriate tickets and to notify the Highway Department of said Town in the event removal and impounding become necessary thereunder.

§ 104-4.1 Repeat offenders.

Any person who has been issued three summonses pursuant to this chapter in the preceding 18 months and has not satisfied the same with the Town of Hyde Park will be certified as a scofflaw. The Town of Hyde Park will notify the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles pursuant to the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law, Article 14, § 401(5-a), and Article 20, § 514(4)(a).
