The Board of Trustees of the Village of Scotia, New York, may by resolution
designate a newspaper as the official paper of the village. Any newspaper
published in the same county having a circulation in the village may be so
designated. If no newspaper is published in the county or entered in a post
office within ten (10) miles of the village, any other newspaper published
in an adjoining county having a circulation in the village may be so designated.
If no official newspaper has been designated, the designation of a newspaper
for the publication of a notice, resolution, local law or other proceeding
of the Board shall be deemed a designation thereof as the official newspaper
of the village for the purpose of such publication. Additional newspapers
may be designated for the publication of village notices at the option of
the Village Board.
