There shall be a Director of Data Processing,
appointed by the Mayor and subject to confirmation by the City Council,
who shall serve for a term of three years, beginning July 1, 1986,
and until his successor is chosen and qualified.
The Data Processing Director shall possess a
minimum of a bachelor's degree and shall have at least four years
of full-time experience in a data processing environment compatible
with the systems utilized or to be utilized by the City.
The Data Processing Director shall plan, organize
and control under the direction of the Mayor all municipal data-processing
activities, including but not limited to systems' analysis, programming,
computer operations, purchasing recommendations, developing and evaluating
systems, serving as a liaison with all municipal departments in the
development and maintenance of computerized systems and all related
duties as required by the Mayor for the total operation and management
of the City's data-processing system.
