A. There shall be a Township Advisory Health Council who
shall serve in an advisory capacity in matters pertaining to the Health Department
and its facilities and programs. The Advisory Health Council shall be governed
by the general provisions set forth in N.J.S.A. 26:3-1 et seq., as may be
amended from time to time, and not the specific provisions relating to townships.
B. The Advisory Health Council shall consist of eight members,
seven of whom shall be citizen members, and one member of the Township Council.
One of the citizen members, preferably, should be a physician.

In the event of the resignation of any member of the Advisory Health
Council, his death, inability to serve or absence from 50% or more of the
regularly scheduled meetings of the Health Council in any twelve-month period,
in which latter event removal shall automatically occur, the Township Council
shall fill said vacancy for the remainder of the unexpired term.
The Advisory Health Council may make recommendations:
A. To the Township Health Officer concerning or relating
to the operation or administration of the Department of Health.
B. To the Township Council concerning or touching upon matters
of policy or ordinance affecting the Department of Health.
