[Adopted by 1-18-1960, Ch. 13, Art. 1, of the former Revised Ordinances]
No person shall set up, keep or maintain or permit to be set up, kept or maintained in any house or premises occupied by him any faro table, faro bank, roulette or other device or game of chance or hazard or address for the purpose of gaming, or any boxing ring, cockpit or other place for the exhibition of animals in fight.
It shall be the duty of the Township police and they are hereby authorized and empowered to enter upon any premises wherein instruments or devices employed in gaming, as described in § 188-1, shall be used contrary to the provisions of this article. Except in the case of ball alleys, bowling alleys and billiard tables, the police are hereby authorized and empowered to carry away and destroy such instruments or devices employed in said gaming.
No person shall:
A. 
Deal, play or engage in faro, roulette or other device or game of chance.
B. 
Buy or sell what is commonly known as a "pool" or any interest or share in any such pool.
C. 
Make or take what is commonly known as a "book" upon the running, pacing or trotting of any horse, mare, gelding or other animal or any game, racing or contest.
D. 
Have in his possession any ticket, slip or other writing or printing of an interest or share or showing or indicating an interest, share, bet or pledge in any pool, lottery, racing or numbers game.
E. 
Keep or attend a place to which persons may resort for engaging in any such acts or for betting upon the event of any horse race or other race or contest.
F. 
Aid, abet, assist or participate in any such pool, lottery, race or other contest.
No person shall keep or maintain a disorderly house including, but not by way of limitation, a house of prostitution or ill fame.
No person shall allow or permit his house, shop, store or other place to be used, frequented or resorted to by riotous or disorderly persons, prostitutes, gamblers, vagrants or mendicants.

Any person who violates any provision of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding $1,000 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 90 days, or both. A separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
