As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
FIREARMS
As defined in N.J.S.A. 2C:39-1, including but not limited to shotguns, handguns, rifles, pistols, air guns, pellet guns, BB guns, bows and arrows or crossbows.

No person shall discharge any firearm within the corporate limits of the Borough of Palisades Park, unless he is a police officer acting in the discharge of his duty or unless on an approved pistol range or unless it is reasonably necessary for the protection of life or property.
