As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings
indicated:
INTERIOR DRIVE
Designated lanes clearly indicating routes of ingress and egress
so as to provide control of moving traffic through parking lots in such a
manner as to prohibit confusion and facilitate traffic control.
PARKING LOT
Any outdoor space or uncovered area having a Township-approved surface
and upon which more than 10 motor vehicles may be parked and which is adjacent
to and serves a group of at least five retail stores, commonly known as a
"shopping center."
TOWNSHIP-APPROVED SURFACE
Paved in such a way that dirt, dust, sand, cinders or other substances
shall not be carried from the surface thereof into or upon public or private
property by the movement of vehicles or other causes.
Adequate containers shall be provided and maintained so as to control
and contain all organic rubbish originating on or from the site.
Any part or portion of a site which is not used for buildings, other
structures, loading or parking spaces and interior drives, sidewalks and designated
storage areas shall be planted with a Township-approved all-season ground
cover and maintained to provide an attractive appearance.

Any person who shall violate any provisions of this chapter shall, upon
summary conviction before an issuing authority having jurisdiction thereof,
be punishable by a fine of not more than $300 and costs of such proceedings
and, upon default of payment of such fine and costs, by imprisonment in the
county jail for a term of not more than 30 days. The continuation of such
violation for each successive day shall constitute a separate offense, and
the person or persons allowing or permitting the continuation of the violation
may be punished as provided above for each separate offense.
