This article is enacted by the Board of Commissioners
of Caln Township under the authority granted to said Board by 53 P.S.
§ 56513 et seq.
This article shall be known and cited as the
"Lighting Assessment Tax Article."

Effective January 1, 2023, there is hereby imposed, assessed
and levied an annual assessment upon each and every property benefited
hereunder and on the owners and occupiers thereof, jointly and severally,
located within the following districts which is in proportion to the
number of feet the same fronts on the street, highway or portion thereof
to be lighted in the following districts for the year 2023 and for
each subsequent year.

The tax imposed shall be due and payable within
30 days after the date of the tax notice. All persons who shall fail
to pay the tax imposed within this thirty-day period shall be charged
an additional 10% of the tax charged against them, which shall be
added thereto by the Tax Collector and be collected by him.
Collection hereunder shall be by suit in assumpsit
against the owner or occupier or by filing a municipal lien and, in
addition to the tax due, there will also be due hereunder reasonable
attorneys' fees for collection, cost of suit and interest.
