There is hereby created a Recreation Advisory Board, which shall consist of nine members appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of Council. All appointments, except to fill vacancies, shall be for terms of three years and shall terminate on December 31 of the third year. Terms shall be staggered such that 1/3 of the members' terms shall expire each year. Vacancies shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointment but for the expired term.
The Board shall advise and consult with the Superintendent of Recreation Programs with respect to the Township's recreation programs and activities, shall study the public recreational needs of the Township and shall, from time to time, recommend to the Mayor and Council ways and means of improving the Township's recreational programs and of coordinating public and private activities in the interest of public recreation.
