The Mayor shall, with the advice and consent of the Council, appoint seven persons, residents of the Township, to serve as the public officers for the purpose of exercising the powers set forth in Chapter 161, Dwellings, Unfit.
The terms of the first public officers shall
be as follows: one shall serve for a one-year term, one shall serve
for a two-year term, one shall serve for a three-year term and four
shall serve for five-year terms. Thereafter, all appointments shall
be for five years.
The public officers may be known as the "Condemnation Board" of the Township; however, the public officers shall only meet as needed, in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 161, Dwellings, Unfit, and their authority shall be limited as set forth therein.
