Pursuant to § 70.47(6m)(c) and § 70.46(1) of the Wisconsin Statutes, the Town Board hereby provides for the appointment of alternates to serve on the Town Board of Review in the event a standing Board member of the Board of Review is removed or unable to serve for any reason.

The electors of the Town of St. Joseph named to serve as alternate Board of Review members shall be appointed by the Town Board. A record of appointed alternates shall be kept on file in the Town offices.
The appointments made in this article are for the Board of Review proceedings effective upon posting as provided by law.
The Town Clerk shall notify any named member who has been lawfully removed under § 70.47(6m)(a) or (b), Wis. Stats., and shall then notify the alternate member of his or her appointment to replace a named member of the Board of Review. The alternate, once notified, if he or she approves the appointment, and if the appointment would not violate § 19.59, Wis. Stats., shall then take the oath of office and act as a member of the Board of Review under § 70.47(6m)(c), Wis. Stats.
If any specific portion of this article is held to be unconstitutional, unlawful or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remainder of this article shall be unaffected and remain in full force and effect.
