A. 
Definitions. As used in this section, the following terms shall have the meanings as indicated:
BOROUGH
The Borough of Brooklawn.
COMMERCIAL VEHICLE
Any motor vehicle used for commercial purposes, in interstate commerce, for the transportation of persons for hire, compensation or profit. The display of commercial, omnibus or constructor registration plates on any motor vehicle shall, for the purposes of this section, be prima facie evidence that the vehicle is a commercial vehicle.
FLAMMABLE or COMBUSTIBLE LIQUIDS
Gasoline, kerosene, benzine, naphtha and fuel oil.
GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT
The combined weight of the vehicle and the rated pay load. For the purposes of this section, the gross weight as stated on the vehicle’s registration certificate shall be prima facie evidence of the vehicle’s gross vehicle weight.
PARK
To leave any truck, trailer or semitrailer unattended either on public or private property, whether within or without any garage, shed or other structure.
RESIDENTIAL ZONES
All areas of the Borough of Brooklawn designated on the Zoning Map of the Borough of Brooklawn as residential districts.
B. 
Commercial vehicles excluded. Commercial vehicles over 9,000 pounds gross vehicle weight are hereby authorized for movement only upon any of the streets or parts of streets thereof set forth in Schedule D.1 incorporated herein and made a part of this chapter.
C. 
Vehicles used to transport flammable or combustible liquids. It shall be unlawful for any person to park or leave unattended any truck, trailer or semitrailer designed or constructed and used for the purpose of transporting flammable or combustible liquids, whether or not the same shall be loaded, for a period in excess of an hour, within 100 feet of any dwelling in the Borough of Brooklawn.
D. 
Parking commercial and other vehicles.

(1) 
The parking, storing or garaging of any commercial vehicle with a gross vehicle weight of 9,000 pounds or more is prohibited within the Borough of Brooklawn.
(2) 
The parking, storing or garaging of any commercial-type equipment, including but not limited to trailers, chippers, mixers, backhoes and bulldozers, is prohibited within the Borough of Brooklawn.
(3) 
Nothing herein, however, shall prohibit the temporary parking of a commercial vehicle for the purpose of performing services or making pickups or deliveries in the regular course of business. Such temporary parking shall not occur between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., and shall be restricted to the property of the business of which the services are being performed or the pickup or delivery is being made.
(4) 
Nothing herein, however, shall prohibit the parking of a commercial vehicle or commercial-type equipment as referred to in § 141-11.1D(1) and (2) in a nonresidential zone within the Borough of Brooklawn on property owned by or leased by the owner or lessee of the commercial vehicle or commercial-type equipment as referred to in § 141-11.1D(l) and (2).
E. 
Parking on unimproved property. No person shall park a vehicle on unimproved property in the Borough.
Trucks over four tons' gross weight are hereby excluded from the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule E (§ 141-37), except for the pickup and delivery of materials on such streets, said Schedule E being attached to and made a part of this chapter .
