A. 
No person shall park a vehicle between the hours specified and on the days specified upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XXV (§ 257-61) attached to and made a part of this chapter, unless the vehicle shall bear a valid permit. A Township resident may purchase a permit. The cost of a permit on an annual basis (January 1 through December 31) shall be $210. Any permit issued after June 30 of the permit year shall cost 1/2 of the regular permit fee.
B. 
A Township resident may purchase a combined jitney bus pass (see § 155-1) and parking permit. The cost of a combined pass/permit on an annual basis (January 1 through December 31) shall be $415. Any pass/permit issued after June 30 of the pass/permit year shall cost 1/2 of the regular pass/permit fee.

A. 
Whenever the words "parking permit" are indicated they shall refer to the parking permit authorized by the Township of Maplewood and issued by the Township Clerk validating the fact that an applicant has shown that said applicant is a bona fide resident of the Township of Maplewood, and said permit will be issued by the Township Clerk upon receipt of due proof thereof. No person other than the Township Clerk or his designee shall be authorized to issue said permit. Those persons whose homes are located in the locations described in Schedule XXV (§ 257-61) will not be charged a fee for any parking permits issued to them to park on their own streets.

C. 
Merchant permit parking.
(1) 
Maplewood Village Special Improvement District.
(a) 
Merchant permit parking shall be available to merchants located within the Maplewood Village Special Improvement District upon payment of a permit fee of $25, per permit, to the Township of Maplewood.
(b) 
The permit shall be valid for a period of one year or less. The permit year shall begin on January 1 and end on December 31.
(c) 
The permit must be displayed from the rearview mirror of each vehicle.
(d) 
Each permit shall be owned by the merchant applying for the permit and is transferable among the merchant's employees.
(2) 
Springfield Avenue Special Improvement District.
(a) 
Fee; permit year; display; transferability.

Merchant permit parking shall be available to merchants located within the Springfield Avenue Special Improvement District upon payment of a permit fee of $25, per permit, to the Township of Maplewood.

The permit shall be valid for a period of one year or less. The permit year shall begin on January 1 and end on December 31.

Each permit shall be owned by the merchant applying for the permit and is transferable among the merchant's employees.
(b) 
The parking spaces as delineated on the attached map shall be designated for nonexclusive merchant permit parking and will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. Copies of the attached maps shall be kept on file at the office of the Township Engineer for review.
(c) 
Signage shall be placed which shall, in addition to the established parking regulations, allow merchant permit parking on an all-day basis.
D. 
Notwithstanding the foregoing, six spaces shall be designated amongst Burgdorff Realtors, Roman Gourmet and the tenant at 149 Maplewood Avenue as follows:
(1) 
Two spaces for use by Burgdorff Realtors;
(2) 
Two spaces for use by Roman Gourmet; and
(3) 
Two spaces for use by the tenant at 149 Maplewood Avenue.
E. 
With regard to the aforementioned restricted spaces, all municipal parking regulations (including but not limited to overnight parking) shall apply to the designated spaces. Any alleged misuse violations must be brought to the attention of the Maplewood Police Department by the space designee, who shall file a complaint for illegal parking within the designated space.

Parking spaces as delineated on the attached map shall be designated for nonexclusive merchant permit parking and will be available on a "first-come-first-served" basis. Copies of the attached map shall be kept on file at the office of the Township Engineer for review.
All staff members at Maplewood Middle School shall be entitled to purchase parking permits as though they were residents of Maplewood, with the same rights and privileges.
A. 
The Township will issue parking permits to all tenants who reside in the properties commencing with 166 Maplewood Avenue to 180 Maplewood Avenue, which is the easterly side of Maplewood Avenue. Said permits will be valid at all times, except for the period from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from Monday through Saturday.
B. 
No more than two parking permits will be issued for each apartment, and the permittees shall receive decals which are to be placed in the left rear side window.
C. 
At the time of the issuance of the initial permit, proof of residency shall be required, and a valid motor vehicle registration certificate shall be required for each vehicle which is to be registered.
D. 
All permit cars parking in the area which is known as "Lot No. 7" are to be parked in the row nearest the railroad embankment.

Each resident of West Parker Avenue from Maplewood Avenue to Valley Street, and of Parker Avenue from Valley Street to Boyden Avenue, shall be entitled, at no cost, to one parking permit per vehicle registered to the dwelling unit, which shall be issued by the Township Clerk after receipt of a completed application. Such parking permit shall be denoted as a "Type P" permit. Other than set forth herein, Type P permit holders shall comply with all other provisions of Chapter 257, including, but not limited to, overnight parking.
